Hi, I’m Christiane McCorgray and I’m the Retail Director here at Thorne Travel.

I joined Thorne Travel back in 2012 as a Travel Consultant.

Before joining the team, I studied for my HND in Travel at Ayrshire College while working in a restaurant. I enjoyed working in the hospitality industry, but I always knew that my future would be in travel.

I’ve had some amazing opportunities to learn and develop here at Thorne Travel. After completing several business and management courses, I was delighted to be promoted to the role of Branch Manager in 2022.

I love my job! I work with fantastic people and we have the most amazing customers who return time and time again to book those all important holidays with us. The fact that I get to explore the world through my work is also a huge bonus!

Brazil, Ibiza, Jamaica and Thailand are definitely at the top of my list!

You can never have too many travel adaptors, socks or bank cards!

• What’s the most unforgettable trip you’ve ever taken? I spent a month in Thailand in 2017 and wish I could have spent more time! Just such an amazing, amazing place!
• What’s one destination that surprised you in a good way? Madeira it was brilliant, such a diverse Island I’d love to go back!
• Are you more of a beach lounger or an adventure seeker? Adventure Seeker 100%
• What’s your dream travel destination that you haven’t visited yet? Dream destination has to be Bali! I’ve wanted to go for so long!
• What’s your go-to travel hack or tip that you always share with clients?
• What’s one destination you think everyone should visit at least once in their life? Ibiza, I just love it so much!
