About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Travel Consultant to deliver commercial results, stay ahead of travel trends, and lead by example.

You’ll be the go-to expert for everything from creating tailored itineraries to managing marketing campaigns and ensuring customer safety.

This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with excellent organisational skills, a professional approach, and a passion for crafting unforgettable travel experiences.

Goal: Ensure every customer enjoys an outstanding, safe, and well-organised journey — all in line with Thorne Travel’s high standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and market Thorne Travel, including new and niche markets

  • Sell travel products and bespoke tour packages to meet commercial targets

  • Source and tailor products and destinations to customer demand

  • Attend familiarisation trips to expand destination knowledge

  • Manage bookings and schedules with travel partners like airlines and hotels

  • Deliver customer service that consistently exceeds expectations

  • Supervise and manage the shop’s daily operations

  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth

  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback

  • Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards

  • Identify opportunities for business growth and process improvements

As an Apprentice Travel Consultant, your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer service while helping clients plan their perfect holiday.

From finding the ideal package holiday to creating bespoke itineraries, you’ll support customers every step of the way — including:

  • Booking holidays and taking payments

  • Offering advice on passports, visas, vaccinations, insurance, tours, and vehicle hire

  • Ensuring customers feel informed, prepared, and excited

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times

  • Provide advice on destinations, tours, routes, accommodation, and regulations

  • Process payments and issue tickets
