To go to Wales it’s a 7 hour drive from where I stay but its definitely worth the long wait, although the car drive was long it didn’t feel so bad since we had installed mini TVs in the back of our car to keep me and my sister entertained. We also had lots of snacks such as fruit, jolly ranchers and some gummies these lasted us the whole drive.
We stopped half way through the trip for some breakfast as we had left at 6 o’clock sharp. When we arrived we headed straight to my cousins caravan that they own in Abersoch a little town in Wales. Me and my family stayed in glamping pods just a 7 minute drive from where my cousins where staying. Inside the pod was a double bed provided with duvets and blankets, a pull out couch bed that me and my siter slept on [ also provided with covers] a small bathroom including a toilet and sink, and lastly a mini fridge connected to a table.
At the glamping site was a men’s and women’s shower and toilet rooms where anyone could use at any time. There was also a family wet room that had a huge mirror, sink and shower.
On the first day that we stayed we visited a beach just a 10 minute drive from where I was staying we headed on a walk first around a golf course with amazing views of the ocean and beach. On our walk round there was a rescue boat on display it was massive and was painted orange and white, although we did not see it out in the sea it was still an extremely interesting experience as I had never seen anything like it. After our walk we headed down to the beach and had some fun in the water we even made a car out of sand! That me and my cousins could sit inside. We had ice cream and drinks then had a BBQ on the beach with burgers and hotdogs.
On the second day we visited another beach where we saw dolphins very close to shore jumping in and out of the shallow water. At this beach to tide goes very far out and you can go extremely deep and till stand! We took paddle boards and Kayaks to use and had a blast on them. Some of us even took the kayak out way past our depths and to a small island nearby to see if we could spot anymore dolphins. There were lots of speed boats causing big waves to come, most people think big waves are scary but me and my cousins made the most of it and played on them with the paddle board. After everyone was out of the water all of the parents, my sister and one of my cousins played a game called bulls they were all very competitive!
On the third day we went a big walk along a very fancy beach, we went to an ice cream shop and all got chocolate flavor we ate it in the sun and headed back to the pods. We also went out for lunch and I had a burger and chips at a small restaurant looking over the beach. Once we were all ready we went out for dinner for me and my families last night In Wales we had dinner at a place called the Lion the staff were very nice and we all had amazing food. After dinner we headed back to my cousins caravan and played a couple of very competitive board games. The games were very fun yet easy to play and I definitely enjoyed my last night.
For my last day we went to the beach and sunbathed for a short period of time before heading back home to Scotland.
I had an amazing time in Wales and I would 100 percent recommend it to everyone to visit!
