Corfu

Crystal-clear waters, beautiful coastal scenery, incredible food, and some of the warmest hospitality I’ve ever experienced — Corfu completely stole my heart during my recent trip with Grecotel.

As Greece’s largest luxury hospitality group, Grecotel has been showcasing the beauty of the Greek Islands for more than 50 years. This family-owned brand features a collection of 40 stunning properties across 15 iconic destinations throughout Greece, each offering its own unique style and experience.

Corfu is home to four exceptional Grecotel resorts, and during our trip, we were lucky enough to stay at two of them while also visiting the other two. From luxurious beachfront escapes to authentic Greek dining experiences, this trip gave us a wonderful taste of everything that makes Corfu such a special destination for families, couples, and luxury travellers alike.

LUXME Costa Botanica – Acharavi, Corfu

Our first stay was at Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica, located in the charming resort of Acharavi in northern Corfu.

Set along a beautiful stretch of beachfront, Costa Botanica introduces guests to Grecotel’s renowned LUXME® concept — “Luxury Made Easy®” — delivering one of the finest all-inclusive experiences in Greece.

From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was clear. Every part of the experience felt carefully curated, from the exceptional dining options to the endless activities available for both adults and children.

Some highlights of our stay included:

  • Several all-inclusive à la carte restaurants
  • Unlimited drinks and access to the impressive wine library
  • A fantastic wine tasting experience at Cava Bottega
  • An onsite waterpark perfect for families
  • Excellent kids’ clubs and family-friendly facilities
  • A stunning beachfront location
  • A luxurious spa and fully equipped gym — complete with its own boxing ring!

I stayed in the Summer House accommodation and absolutely loved the spacious room overlooking the pool. It was the perfect place to relax after long days spent exploring the resort, enjoying the sunshine, and making the most of everything Costa Botanica had to offer.

The atmosphere throughout the resort felt relaxed, welcoming, and effortlessly luxurious — ideal for families looking for a luxury holiday in Corfu without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Grecotel Eva Palace – Kommeno Peninsula, Corfu

After the lively family-friendly atmosphere of Costa Botanica, our trip continued with a completely different experience at the elegant Grecotel Eva Palace.

Located on the stunning Kommeno Peninsula, this beautiful 5-star resort overlooks the sparkling Ionian Sea and offers a peaceful, luxurious setting surrounded by lush exotic gardens.

One of the things I loved most about Eva Palace was how tranquil it felt while still being conveniently located close to Corfu Town. With just a short transfer from the airport, it’s the perfect choice for travellers wanting relaxation alongside easy access to Corfu’s charming Old Town, shops, and historic sites.

The resort’s tropical gardens gently lead down towards the beach club and stylish beachfront bar, creating the perfect setting for long, leisurely afternoons by the sea.

Eva Palace offers 225 elegant accommodations, ranging from stylish sea-view guest rooms to luxurious private pool villas, making it ideal for couples, honeymooners, and families looking for a luxury Greek island escape.

I was lucky enough to stay in a beautiful sea-view room in the main building, and waking up to those breathtaking Ionian Sea views each morning was truly unforgettable. I especially loved starting the day on my balcony with a coffee from the in-room espresso machine before heading down for breakfast overlooking the water.

During our stay, we also enjoyed a wonderful dinner at La Contessa restaurant. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the perfect spot to soak in the spectacular sea views while enjoying delicious Italian-inspired cuisine in an elegant setting.

A Truly Unique Experience at Danilia Village

One of the most memorable experiences of the entire trip was our evening at Danilia Village.

Authentic, colourful, and completely unique, Danilia Village is a beautiful replica of a traditional Corfiot village, hidden amongst the lush greenery of Corfu.

The entire setting feels like stepping back in time, with charming cobbled streets, traditional architecture, and a wonderfully atmospheric feel throughout the village.

Dinner here was an experience in itself. Guests can enjoy some of the very best traditional Greek cuisine, prepared using fresh organic produce and locally sourced ingredients, with every dish lovingly created in the village kitchens.

It was one of those evenings that perfectly captures the magic of Greece — incredible food, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable setting.

Grecotel Daphnila Bay – Dassia, Corfu

During our trip, we also had the opportunity to visit Grecotel Daphnila Bay Dassia, a beautiful 4-star all-inclusive resort set on a lush green hillside overlooking a stunning Blue Flag beach.

Popular with both families and couples, the resort offers a wide variety of accommodation options, from elegant rooms in the main building to spacious family bungalows that can accommodate up to six guests.

The all-inclusive offering here is particularly impressive, with several restaurants and bars throughout the resort, including à la carte dining options and the stylish Il Barreto Wine Library.

The relaxed atmosphere and beautiful beachfront setting make Daphnila Bay a fantastic option for travellers looking for an all-inclusive family holiday in Corfu.

Grecotel Corfu Imperial – Kommeno Peninsula

Our final hotel visit was to the luxurious Grecotel Corfu Imperial, one of the most exclusive and elegant resorts on the island.

Set on its own private peninsula, the resort offers breathtaking sea views, secluded beaches, exceptional dining experiences, and a sophisticated atmosphere throughout.

Corfu Imperial would be the perfect choice for a honeymoon, anniversary, or special occasion where guests are looking for outstanding service and true luxury in Corfu.

During our visit, we enjoyed a fabulous lunch at The Trattoria, sampling a delicious selection of freshly made pizzas and pastas in a stunning beachfront setting overlooking the Ionian Sea.

The entire resort felt effortlessly elegant and incredibly peaceful — the kind of place where you instantly switch into holiday mode the moment you arrive.

Why Corfu Left Such a Lasting Impression

All too soon, it was time to head home, but Corfu has definitely left a lasting impression on me.

From the warmth of the local people to the incredible food, beautiful scenery, and genuine Greek hospitality, it’s one of the most welcoming destinations I’ve ever visited.

What I loved most was how diverse the island felt. Whether you’re searching for luxury beachfront resorts, family-friendly all-inclusive holidays, authentic Greek experiences, or peaceful adults-only relaxation, Corfu truly offers something for everyone.

Combined with Grecotel’s exceptional service and stunning collection of hotels, this trip reminded me exactly why Greece continues to be one of Europe’s most loved holiday destinations.

If Corfu has been sitting on your travel wish list, I can honestly say it deserves a place right at the very top.
