Largs Travel is under new managment as it has been acquired by Thorne Travel of Kilwinning, which leads to ‘Largs Travel‘ being rebranded to ‘Thorne Travel Largs‘
Thorne Travel and Thorne Travel Largs combined have over 70 years’ experience, we bring together the world’s most fascinating destinations, finest hotels and imaginative itineraries. With first-hand knowledge of the destinations we sell, travel is our passion
Further to a story in the press recently about Largs Travel’s owner David Anton having had health issues whilst on holiday in Malta, David has made the decision that perhaps it was time to take a back seat from running the company.
“I think that we provide a very personal service to all our customers and I just knew that if I could interest Shona Thorne to take over the reins it would mean that that same family business feel would stay with our customers. I’ve always admired the Thorne Travel approach to its customers and to travel and was so pleased when Shona agreed to take over.
It’s not all change though. Audrey Quinn, Julie Boyd and I will still be looking after our customers but in new premises and as members of the Thorne Travel team.
Thorne Travel has a great reputation in travel and it’s a very
positive thing for Largs to have a company with that background in the town.”
Shona Thorne stated,
“We are so happy to move into Largs and we’ll make sure that the family values both companies have strived to deliver to customers stays with the brand. We’re excited to find new premises
and offer a new experience for a wide range of customers, both new and old.”
