Hello, I’m Liberty McArdle and I’m a Travel Expert at Thorne Travel.
While I’m relatively new to the Thorne Travel team, I’m certainly not new to the travel industry. I previously worked as both ground staff and cabin crew for Emirates airlines, which allowed me to visit lots of different destinations and explore new places.
When I moved to live permanently in the UK just over 10 years ago, I landed a job as an Optical Advisor, but my passion for travel never wavered, so when the opportunity came along to work with Thorne Travel, I did not hesitate to join the team.
I’ve been obsessed with holidays and travel for as long as I can remember. I like to have a few holidays booked in advance each year. That’s mainly because I love to look at exciting new destinations and dream about where I want to go next. Working with Thorne Travel means that I can combine my work experience with my passion for travels.
Having come from a customer service background, I firmly believe in providing our wonderful customers with excellent service, based on honesty and first-hand knowledge.
Favourite Places
So many beautiful places I have been, but my top picks would be, Switzerland, as it's the most beautiful in any time of the year. A country that always convince to keep me coming back.
Japan is one of my favourite destination in Asia, it has the perfect mix of culture, history and modern comfort. I love the uniqueness of this country and not to forget the amazing food they have.
San Francisco, is also on my favourite list. This city in California offers a gorgeous views, great restaurants and shops, winery nearby, plus there is an opportunity for some great side trips from SF, many with great scenery, not to mention Yosemite.
Travel Tips
Always take a quick snap of your luggage from four different angles on your phone before dropping off your bag at the check-in desk, this could save you some hassle further down the line, should your luggage doesn’t show up when you land – you’ll be glad you did.
