I have been in the travel industry since 2016 and have always had a passion for travel. In my last role as a Make-up artist for a large global brand I was always travelling to different events all over the world.
Being a travel agent was always something that I wanted to do but the bright lights of Broadway (The Make-up world) pulled me in and I loved every minute of it, but the lure of the travel world was still always there.
When the opening came up at Thorne TraveI knew it was the right time for me to make the change and I have never looked back. I enjoy every day in travel; the people I have met and the places that I have been incredibly lucky to have visited, most of all I love helping customers find and book their holidays, to make cherished memories, spend time with the people they love and to create their own amazing experiences, there is nothing more important.
Some Nice Comments About Me
“Just booked my honeymoon with the lovely Amanda, we got everything we wanted and so much more! Cannot thank her enough she has given us a lifetime experience to look so forward too with no hassle at all. Everything was easy and smooth defiantly recommend”.
India: This is an amazing place full or colour and history the Taj Mahal is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.
New York: This has always on my list for as long as I can remember, and it did not disappoint its full of life and is defiantly the city that never sleeps.
Barbados: This was my first experience of the Caribbean and not just a beach holiday if you do not what it to be it is steeped in history and Rum lots and lots of Rum.
Travelling with kids my travel tip is if arriving during the day have swim wear in you hand luggage so if you room isn’t ready the kids can still have fun in the pool while you wait. If you are travelling at night have pyjamas in your hand luggage or at the top of the case so you can get the kids settled in the hotel room and ready for bed without having to pull everything out looking for them, meaning they will be fresh to start their adventure the following morning.
Travelling with the kids or on your own, my parents always got me to split my spending money into the days that we were away so I didn’t spend it all on the first day, I still do this with the kids or when I am on my own meaning I don’t run out and can enjoy everyday even at the end of the holiday and if I have some extra left for the days before I could get a nice treat (normally a handbag).
